Tim Morris

Non-Executive Director and Chairman

Tim Morris joined the Board as Non-Executive Director in May 2021. He was appointed as independent Chair on 21 November 2024. In his role as Chair, Tim Morris will be responsible among other things for overseeing the Group's recently announced Business Review, which will be led by Dan Finley and supported by the rest of the Board.

Tim is Chair of the Nomination and Risk Committees. He also sits on the    Remuneration and ESG Committees. Tim is currently Group General Counsel & Company Secretary at TalkTalk Telecom Group Limited, which was on the main list of the London Stock Exchange until March 2021 and where he joined prior to its IPO in 2010. He held similar positions at Carphone Warehouse Group PLC prior to its IPO in 2000 until 2015 during which time it merged with Dixons to create Dixons Carphone PLC.

He is also a founding Partner of Freston Ventures Investments LLP, which invests in a number of private businesses including Five Guys Europe, in addition to various indirect private equity and investment funds. Tim is a Solicitor who worked in private practice before 2000, specialising in corporate finance.

Dan Finley

Group Chief Executive Officer

Dan originally joined the group as CEO of Debenhams in January 2022, following the acquisition of the brand out of administration for £55m, and was appointed Group CEO on 1 November 2024. Dan will be appointed to the Board in due course.

Under his leadership, the Debenhams business has been transformed into Britain's leading online department store with a GMV annual run rate of c.£800M, through a capital-light, cash generative and highly profitable marketplace model. The business has been successfully repositioned, creating a community of c.10,000 brands across fashion, home and beauty, all attracted to the site by Debenhams' millions of active customers

Before joining Debenhams, Dan spent a decade as Group Multi Channel Director at JD Sports, where he delivered unprecedented digital growth as JD Sports became a global multi-channel leader and entered the FTSE 100.

Mahmud Kamani

Founder and Group Executive Vice Chairman

Mahmud founded boohoo Group with Carol Kane in 2006, leveraging over 30 years of experience in the fashion and clothing industry.

 

Mahmud is an entrepreneur, with expertise encompassing all areas of the supply chain from sourcing, import and wholesale. Mahmud is an inspirational leader, having built a strong team and engendered loyalty from many long-serving employees.

 

Mahmud is an integral part of the leadership team and is currently focussed on the Group's young fashion businesses.

Carol Kane

​Founder and Group Executive Director

Carol co-founded boohoo group with Mahmud Kamani in 2006 following their shared recognition of the opportunity for online retail. Carol oversees the Groups product,  brand and market positioning across the Uk and internationally. She has worked in the fashion industry for over 30 years, initially as a designer and then as a buyer, before setting up boohoo.com.

Stephen Morana

Chief Financial Officer 

Stephen Morana

Chief Financial Officer

Stephen joined the Group as Chief Financial Officer in February 2024. Stephen is widely recognised for his e-commerce expertise and he has significant experience in a range of businesses. He spent a significant part of his executive career as CFO of two founder-led, digitally disruptive businesses, Betfair and Zoopla, both of which he led through IPO and helped to create significant shareholder value. Stephen has also been a Non-Executive director at Entain, the FTSE100 group, and here at boohoo group (2014-2017). He has also been a venture partner at Octopus Ventures. His most recent executive position was at Cazoo plc. He is a qualified chartered accountant and a member of the INSEAD alumni.

Alistair McGeorge

Non-Executive Director

Alistair joined the Board as an independent Non-Executive Director and Deputy Chairman in March 2023. Alistair retired as Deputy Chairman on 21 November, but he remains on the Board as a Non-Executive and Senior Independent Director, adding further independence to the Board. Alistair sits on the Remuneration and Nomination committees.

Alistair has over 20 years of retail experience including roles as CEO of Matalan and Littlewoods and being Executive Chairman of New Look.

He is currently serving as independent Chair of Revolution Beauty Plc, Non-Executive Director of The Original Factory Shop, non-Executive Chair of East Imperial plc and Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Retail Trust, which provides support to retail employees, both past and present.

Iain McDonald

Non-Executive Director

Iain is a global expert in technology and e-commerce, having had a strong track record in investing in early stage companies such as ASOS, The Hut Group, Eagle Eye Solutions, Anatwine and Metapack.

He is the founder of Belerion Capital, an investor and investment advisor in technology and e-commerce companies. Iain is also a non-executive director of various of his investee companies, as well as other companies such as The Hut Group, and is now chairman of CentralNIC. Previously, Iain was a top-ranked retail and e-commerce analyst and held positions in a number of UK investment banks. Iain graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), with a BSc in Economics & Economics History.

Iain is Chairman of the Remuneration Committee and sits on the Audit and Nomination Committees.

Kirsty Britz

Non-Executive Director

Kirsty joined the Board as an independent Non-Executive Director in September 2021.

Kirsty has extensive ESG and sustainability experience across financial services, telecommunications and technology sectors. She is currently serving as the Director of Sustainable Banking at Natwest Group plc and as an independent member of the Professional Standards Committee at HMRC.

Prior to joining Natwest Group, she held the role of Director of Citizenship at Barclays. Prior to this Kirsty held various sustainability, brand strategy and marketing roles in retail, telecommunications and advertising sectors. Kirsty also sits on the Audit and Risk committees.

John Goold

Non-Executive Director

John joined the Board as an independent Non-Executive Director and chairman of the Audit Committee in April 2023. John also sits on the ESG, Remuneration and Risk committees.

 John is a qualified chartered accountant previously working within corporate finance with Deloitte & Touche, Old Mutual Securities, Arden Partners and Zeus. He is currently a non-executive director for Kelso Group Holdings plc and Oncimmune plc.

Tom Kershaw

General Counsel and Company Secretary

Tom joined boohoo group in October 2014 and has held group roles across legal, sustainability and communications. Prior to joining the boohoo group, he worked in private practice, qualifying as a solicitor with Gateley plc and latterly in industry, as legal counsel within BAE Systems International business.
