Dan Finley, Group CEO

 

I’ve been with the Group for nearly three years now, joining as CEO of Debenhams. Under my leadership Debenhams has gone through a period of hyper growth and digital transformation, being transformed into ‘Britain’s online department store’.
 

I have taken Debenhams through a period of significant change, increasing brand awareness building on its 240-year heritage and successfully repositioning it as a capital-light, cash generative and highly profitable marketplace model. We have been able to create a community of c.10,000 brands with more to come.

I am extremely proud of what we have achieved in such a short period and look forward to continuing that journey of growth with the wider Group. 
 

Before joining Debenhams, I spent a decade as Group Multi Channel Director at JD Sports, where I delivered unprecedented digital growth. During this period, JD Sports transformed into a multi-billion-pound business, entered the FTSE100, and established itself as a global multi-channel brand at the pinnacle of the sports fashion industry.

Looking forward, I see huge potential for the Group.
 

The board and I believe that the current share price does not represent the true value of the Group. Boohoo has transitioned from an online youth fashion business into a much more diversified group, now made up of five core brands.
 

I am - as I always have been - focussed on unlocking and maximising shareholder value throughout my career. We have appointed independent advisors Zeus and HSBC to assist with this process, and I will work closely with our independent board to unlock and maximise value for all shareholders, something I am fully committed to deliver.

My work to transform the Group and deliver shareholder value has already begun, and I look forward to working with you to achieve our shared goals.
